The girl's team spent the evening at Motel 6 in Raleigh. We are extremely grateful to the Motel for so generously supporting the Peace Run.

The team made their way to Chapel Hill where they were enthusiastically welcomed by the students and staff of Northside Elementary School. The Assistant Principal, Michael Brown, as well as PE teachers Sandy Rasnake and Susan Shriver and first grade teacher Allison Murray attended.

Everyone sang the World Harmony Run song while performing actions to the song.

Staff, children and Peace Run Team members took a moment to focus on inner peace.

The team appreciated some of the inspiring ideals of the school.

After the indoor ceremony, the children formed a "peace train" behind the torch and walked and ran with the Peace Run team around the grounds of the school.

Everyone had a chance to hold the Peace Torch, joining with tens of thousands of people who have already held the Torch.

The staff also held the Peace Torch and wished the team well.

A final group shot at Northside Elementary School.

The team made their way from Chapel Hill to Greensboro.

In an afternoon ceremony, the children of John Van Lindley Elementary School lined their entrance to welcome the Peace Run team.

Children actively participated in the presentations.

The children correctly guess which countries all of the team members come from. The current team includes representatives of Germany, Ukraine, Australia, France, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, as well as the United States of America.

The students split up into groups to learn more about the runners' home countries and share stories about the Run.

After John Van Lindley Elementary School, the team run to Colfax.

The day ends with a fantastically delicious meal at Moes Southwest Grill in Winston-Salem. Many thanks to all of the hardworking staff there.
