The day began with a fond farewell to the Shrine Hotel in Belleville. The team spent two wonderful nights at Our Lady Of The Snows. Gratitude to all of the staff there for such a peaceful and friendly environment.
Next it was off to join other runners in "Kristina’s Race for Peace" in Waterloo Illinois. This annual 5K walk/run is held to increase awareness and support for victims of domestic violence.

Atul (left) joined the Peace Run team last night. Atul is from India and came first overall in the race. Pierre from France (right) was second place overall.

Salil presented organiser Kay Clements with a Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run Torchbearers Award and artwork by Sri Chinmoy for her tireless work in the community. Next to Kay is Patricia Mayberry Vecchio, Director of Development, Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois.

Later in the day the team had a picnic lunch at Quail Ridge Park which is just outside of Wentzville, Missouri. Here are some shots from the National Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame inside the park.
Wise words.
At Quail Ridge Park we came across local runner and engineer, Bob Schnell. Bob held the Torch and wished us well. Bob later posted a message via our web site - "Our goal should be to make a positive difference and that is what you are all about. Run Strong!"

To finish our day, the womens team prepared the evening meal inside the RV. We are spending the night at Eldon, Missouri.
