After a great night's sleep at the beautiful Nest Extended Stay Hotel in downtown Chanute, the team presented a Certiifcate of Appreciation to Clayton, the hotel Manager. Gratitude to Todd Johnson, the owner of the hotel, for generously providing one night's complimentary accommodation.

Team members then took it in turns to run between Chanute in Kansas and Bartlesville in Oklahoma.

After two days of rain we really appreciated the warm and dry conditions.

The countryside included beautiful grassy plains and farmlands.

There were lots of wildflowers by the side of the road.

Carla McKenzie from Cherryvale was inspired to run with the team.

A local resident holds the torch as we reach Coffeyville.

In the late afternoon we held a presentation at the Coffeyville Boys and Girls Club.

We played a guessing game where the children had to guess the country of origin of the runners. Here the Australian team members imitate kangaroos.

Czech Republic is a more difficult country to guess.

Everyone focused on being silent and feeling peace inside our hearts.

Performing Sri Chinmoy's World Harmony run song.

Demonstrating unpeaceful behaviour.

Presenting the Certicate of Appreciation to the Club. Mr Griffin Walker, the Club Director, accepted the Certificate.

The counsellors ran a few laps of the assembly area to excited cheers from the children.

Everyone formed a giant circle to pass the Peace Torch to one another.

Finally, the team were honoured to be taught the Club handshake- three different hand positions while both parties vigorously and simultaneously ask "How you doin?", What's up?" and "You're AWESOME"!

Thanks Coffeyville Boys and Girls Club - YOU guys are awesome! :-)
