The day began with us presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to the Oklahoma City Hilton Garden Inn. We are extremely grateful to the hotel for so kindly hosting the womens running team for the previous night.

The first morning ceremony was in the City of Stroud.

Mayor Debbie Garrett and City Manager Jim Schook both held the Peace Torch. Mayor Garrett warmly wecomed the team. She said that she appreciated the Peace Run passing through Stroud and wished us all the best for the remainder of the Run.

Mike Brown, who publishes the "Stroud American" newspaper, attended the Ceremony and wished the team well.

It was this particular cafe in Stroud that inspired the movie "Cars"!

Team members are happy to be running on America's famous Route 66.
