...a perfect running-morning in Germany as we left Schweinfurt behind...

...near Schwanfeld we met some local runners....

...a nice group of runners - the mayor of Schwanfeld gave us a first welcome!

...on the road again....

..what a scenic country-side....

...spectators....

...the road to the meeting was nicely marked...

...the last steps...

...quite a crowd awaited the arrival of the Peace Run...

...it was time to pass the torch officially to Schwanfeld...

Schwanfeld is the oldest village in Germany - dating back 7.500 years….

...kind words...

...our runners were invited to sign the golden book of Schwanfeld.

...the mayor led the community on a symbolic lap for peace!

What a cheerful meeting! Thank you Schwanfeld for the outstanding warm welcome!

...as we approached Marktheidenfeld, local runners joined in....

The deputy mayor of Marktheidenfeld welcomed us on the main square...

Our next stop: Castle Mespelbrunn, very picturesque located in the Spessart forest...

Lots of kids gathered on the sport field....

...everyone was eager to hold the torch....

We arrived in Aschaffenburg. All our gratitude to the "Punjab Tandoori" - Restaurant for the excellent Indian-Pakistan food!
