Today was Teachers Day so all the schools were closed. The team instead focused on communities. The route connected communites-nine Town Halls and many local people in between. A total of more than 160 people held the torch.
오늘이 스승의 날이어서 달리는 지역의 학교들이 자체 휴일이다. 오늘 팀은 지역과 지역을 연결하는 것이 집중한다. 달리기 경로를 연결하는 날이다.
Half of the team visited the first 4 Town Halls, being welcomed with a warm reception at each. Town Hall 1 was in Chungso where the Mayor came out to greet us.
팀의 반은 면사무소와 군청 4개를 방문했고 모두 평화 성화를 따뜻하게 맞이해 주었다. 첫번 째 면사무소는 청소면 사무소로 나기철 면장님과 사무소 직원분들께서 환대해주신다.

Town Hall 3 in Cheongyang where we were greeted with a Korean expression that has become familiar to us on this Korean Peace Run as many people use it to show their encouragement for the Peace Run. It is a raised fist accompanied by an expression which roughly translates as 'Go On' or ' Keep going.'

We were greeted by the Mayor at Town Hall 4 in Daechi.

The other half of the team visited the remaining 5 Town Halls. Town Hall 5 was in Eunsan.

They gifted us a box of traditional Korean red ginseng drinks which w later enjoyed with our lunch.
이영범 면장님이 홍삼 음료를 주셔서 팀은 점심과 함께 즐긴다.
We went to great lengths to offer the torch to as many people as possible that we saw from the road.

Our 5th town hall contact person who were not there while we were visiting we met him coincidentally in 6th town hall. He could not escape from peace torch.

Between each town hall we ran through the beautiful conutryside with the torch, encountering farmers, small business people, community workers and older citizens.
면사무소와 면사무소를 잇는 길에는 아름다운 길과 아름다운 사람들을 만납니다.

The Mayor came out to greet us and showed his support by running a few steps with the torch.

Just as one team was arriving at Town Hall 8, the other half of the team arrived after finishing their visits. So the whole team went in.
강경읍사무소 김영묵 주사님, 지은영 자원봉사 회장님, 최은옥 복지 담당자님과 같이 한 단체 사진. 반으로 나뉘었던 팀이 우연히 다시 만나다.
The reception was extremely warm and generous, with the representatives of town hall greeting us and inviting the team in for coffee, biscuts and some extremely good watermelon.

And then onto our final destination, Town Hall 9 in Mangseong.
오늘 우리의 마지막 목적지는 망성면사무소이다.
Rather late in the day, not only was the team welcomed but the Mayor arrived and ran a lap of the car park with the torch.

They also kindly gave us a whole box of locally grown sweet potatoes.
