Tauranga - Rotorua

We are met by the enthusiastic representatives of the Tauranga Intermediate School houses. They ask lots of questions!

Greg Brownless, the mayor of Tauranga addresses the kids, expressing his thoughts on peace. He came out to support the Peace Run last year as well.

The children are learning the actions to the World Harmony Run song.

Each school places a leaf on the travelling Peace Tree, conveying their messages of peace for other schools to see.

We run to Tauranga Domain where we meet Reece and his mum. They spontaneously strike up a conversation with us and love the message of the run.

We are ushered in by this powerful playing of a conch and a haka from Greerton Village School - very stirring.

Sean is demonstrating the rising sun in our favourite action song; World Harmony Run.

Lunch time needs team work to find and pass out bread, spreads and cutlery.

Bellevue Montessori School have played a role in successive Peace Runs. The travelling Peace Tree idea came from Shelley (far left).
