New Brighton - Al Noor Mosque, Christchurch

The Peace Run joins the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in Christchurch for their public off-road race. The 22 km runners started earlier and the Peace Run team joins the 11 km race. Vajin Armstrong, the race director is briefing the runners before the race.

The Peace Run team then run through the Christchurch CBD and Hagley Park towards the Al Noor Mosque.

The Peace Run team relate that when many people throughout New Zealand held the Peace Torch they prayed for the Muslim community and expressed their heart-felt love for all the people that were suffering.
