Kremnica - Čičmany

Reported by Danica Cernakova 71.0 km

A very interesting meeting with young talented students on the premises of the private high school in Kremnica combined with the High school of arts. The students also spoke English with runners.

Veľmi zaujímavé stretnutie s mladými nadanými študentami na súkromnom gymnáziu v Kremnici spojeného so Školou úžitkového výtvarníctva.

The director of the grammar school Ing. Katarina Luptakova was very thrilled by our presentation. The day before she met us in the school, she noticed the runners on the road and how they were happily smiling.

We were very honoured - we received a badge of honour which is not given to many people. We are pleased to say that now we are honorary members of this joint high school.

The landscape we were running through was stunning.

Okolie, ktorým sme prebiehali bolo očarujúce.

It turned up that the students are not only good artists but also capable sportsmen.

Students from the Primary School in Horna Stubna are briskly accompanying us to the premises of their school.

Žiaci zo základnej školy v Hornej Štubni nás rezko doprevádzajú na pôdu svojej školy...

Majorettes were dancing until the grass was bending underneath them.

Šikovné mažoretky zatancovali až sa pod nimi tráva prehýbala.

The director of the primary school as well as the representative from the Municipal office took the torch as the first ones to make a wish. We met the mayor on the road in front of his office before the event, where he unfortunately could not come.

It was fun on the playground. Why? Because we were running with the torch!

Na ihrisku bolo veru veselo...prečo? Pretože sa s pochodňou bežalo!

Everybody enthusiastically participated in the game to run around the world where the small runners collected stamps to their passports.

Všetci sa nadšene zúčastnili hry na beh okolo celého sveta, kde malí bežci zbierali pečiatky do svojich cestovných pasov.

At the primary school in Horna Stubna we even had two trees - and we planted one of them with the students. It was the Peace tree.

Na základnej škole v Hornej Štubni sme mali stromy až dva - jeden strom-" Strom mieru "sme spoločne so žiakmi zasadili...

... and the second one was created for us by these young artists.

...a druhý strom nám títo mladí umelci vytvorili.

The meeting with the students and their teachers at the Primary school in Turcianske Teplice was also exceptional.

Stretnutie so žiakmi a ich učiteľmi na ZŠ v Turčianskych Tepliciach bolo takisto výnimočné.

The teachers lead their students to good results by their own example - e.g. the teacher of physical education whose personal best at the marathon was 2hr 39min.

39 min.

The students truly enjoyed the run around the world.

Žiaci si cestu okolo sveta nesmierne užili...

And quickly collected the stamps to their passports from all continents.

...a do svojich pasov si veľmi rýchlo pečiatky zo všetkých kontinentov nazbierali.

When we were passing through Budis, one man came out of his house to ring a bell for us.

Keď sme išli okolo Budiša, jeden pán vybehol z domu, aby nám takto pekne na cestu zazvonil.

A pleasant meeting in Budis - a name after a mineral spring widely drunk in Slovakia.

... with two mayors from two villages: Budis and Rudno. Mgr. Ivana Erteľová a Mrs. Zdena Lichnerová.

...s dvomi starostkami z dvoch obcí- Budiša a Rudna- s pani Mgr. Ivanou Erteľovou a pani Zdenou Lichnerovou

They nicely explained the history behind the springs.

Pekne nám vysvetlili históriu prameňov.

An exceptional runner and man, Jozef Basovsky escorted us the Nitrianske Pravno, who ran 999 running races and managed to complete all of them.

Do Nitrianskeho Pravna nás priviedol výnimočný bežec a človek Jozef Bašovský, ktorý má na svojom konte 999 bežeckých pretekov, z ktorých všetky dokončil.

An appealing welcome speech by the mayor of Nitrianske Pravno, Mgr. Andrej Richter in which he encouraged us to continue in our efforts - spread peace and harmony around the world.

Prívetivý príhovor pána starostu Nitrianskeho Pravna Mgr. Andreja Richtera nás povzbudil do ďalšieho nášho úsilia - šíriť mier a harmóniu po svete.

For their Peace Tree Nitrianske Pravno chose a traditional Slavic tree - Linden.

Nitrianske Pravno si za svoj Strom mieru vybralo tradičný slovanský strom- lipu.

A souvenir room of Mr. Bašovský with all his trophies from all running races in which he participated.

Pamätná izba pána Bašovského so všetkými jeho trofejami zo všetkých bežeckých podujatí, ktorých sa zúčastnil.

The last part of our day - a picturesque village Cicmany, a cultural heritage of UNESCO. It is known as the first folk architecture reserve in the world.

The mayor, Bc. Iveta Michalíková welcomed us in a very traditional way - in a traditional costume from Cicmany and with bread and salt.

Pani starostka Bc. Iveta Michalíková nás privítala veľmi tradične - v tradičnom čičmianskom kroji a s tradičným chlebom a soľou.

She was very enthusiastic to run up and down the street in the village.

For our Mongolian runner it was a truly inspiring meeting.

Pre našu bežkyňu z Mongolska to bolo nesmierne nšpirujúce stretnutie.

Good-bye picturesque village Cicmany. Your profound silence and fresh smell of grass filled us with peace and delivered fresh source of energy!

Dovidenia malebná dedinka Čičmany! Tvoje hlboké ticho a svieža vôňa trávy nás naplnila pokojom a dodala nám nových síl!
