Zagreb

Reported by Roxana Magdici 10.0 km

On the 30th of September a team from America, Australia, Great Britain, Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Italy and Romania ran with children and teachers to five different schools in Zagreb. The first school to welcome them with drawings, poetry, songs and dances is Matija Gubec.

Thanks to the refreshment with mint and fruit water, the Peace Run Team is ready to carry the torch to the next school with the children's help from the previous school. Now it is leading to the school of Horvati in Zagreb.

After a minute of silence, every child has the opportunity to hold the torch that had been held by Mother Theresa and offer a wish for peace on each corner of Mother Earth.

The torch is an instrument to bring inclusion in schools among everyone, no matter the health condition, because Peace doesn't leave anyone outside.

The students are more than eager to pass the Peace Torch to the neighbor School Ivan Mestrovic...

...which prepares a beautiful show for the runners and shares with them words about harmony in the world, starting with ourselves first!

Have a look at the youngest and fittest elderly runner in the picture. Anything is possible at any age if you just believe it and work hard for it, without compromise!

To which school will we be passing the Peace Torch next?

To the principal of the School Bartol Kasic. She made a delicious homemade cake for the team!

Moreover, she prepared teachers and students to welcome the International Team with a mind-blowing show. Such a heartfelt event!

On the way the Peace Run Team met many new friends. Among them 'Joy from Everywhere' who run with the team to the next schools and enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch at the school.

What will the last stop for the Torch be today?

The last stop is the International American School of Zagreb, where students and teachers welcome the team, making the peace symbol with their position in the courtyard.
It has been a pleasure to meet such inspired and heartfelt teachers and headmasters, giving attention to the soul development of their students.

And now... coffee time!
