The first city on our way this morning was Humboldt. A city that proved well prepared to welcome us.

Jeff Burton welcomed us at the Kids Summer Fun Camp. He is a popular high school teacher and a cartoonist.

Zuzka presented the run and had kids guessing her country.

Purnakama led us into the World Harmony Run song with her melodious voice.

This painting on world peace by the founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy will very soon find its place on the walls.

Arpan and his harmonica are serenading the peace runners.

A wish for peace.

Brahmata pointed out that we got very Canadian directions to get around town today which included points of reference such as the curling rink, Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire.

We took a few minutes to run the bases at the local baseball diamond, with the Torch of course!

Andy McAnally led us in a run around the town and through various short meetings.

Gerald Schmidtz is a very enthusiastic local runner he ran with us through the whole city.

Runners from the city gathered to meet the Peace Run runners.

The whole city seems to have been made aware of the Peace Run.

We met the staff from Partners Family services and they introduced us to the various activities they undertake to help families.

We stopped at Causeway a great health food store ran by Andy our Irish local runner. We loved their philosophy.

A few steps further we met the regional newcomers center.

This little man from Ghana told us a few words of welcome in is native language. It was most charming.

We played the guess-my-country game, and they also had us guessing their countries. It was really fun.

We were also awaited at the Humboldt and District Museum and Art Gallery.

Jean Price, the director had a very nice speech prepared for us.

Humboldt is a famous German explorer who traveled through the american continent somewhat like we do.

We then gathered in front of the city hall for a last presentation.

Michael Ulriksen the Event and Conference Manager received the torch on behalf of the city.

The Peace Run made the news.

After such a number of meetings it was time to take the road Eastward.

Arpan is getting ready for a big run on his soon coming birthday.

We later arrived in Foam Lake, a city that had been rated the most pleasant to live in in Canada.

Many joined for a lap around the town center.

The local lifeguards carried the torch for much of our run around town.

All the participants on and around the playground slide - including the water tower!

Every runner comes with a diferent approach to stretching.

Pierre gave the second interview of the day.

Jamie Helgasun did a great job at organizing the whole event. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm!

Purnakama is such a great conductor!

We even had campers from BC attending our ceremony.

We got a a thumbs up on our presentation.

The boys just could not stop singing they went on for a long improvisation on the Peace Run songs.

Saskatchewan is nicknamed the land of the living sky and we clearly saw why.
