Syracuse, NY - Albany, NY

Reported by Gianluca Marangon, Mahasatya Janczak 77.0 mi

Gorgeous morning at Christopher's and Marienne house. They kindly fed our team again, this time for breakfast, with some most delicious and wholesome food which brings smiles to our faces, joy to our hearts and strength to our body for some more running today.

Family photo at the Sri Chinmoy Street. We cannot express in words the gratitude in our hearts for your hospitality.

Ankurika from Austria just joined the team and carries the Torch with a smile.

The girls running as a team :)

As we make our way onwards and onwards, we reach the Municipal Building of Bridgewater.

We present the Run and sing the Peace Run song for Town Clerk Destinee Davis who came out to receive us on a Saturday morning.

Destinee Davis receives our Certificate of Appreciation in the name of the Town of Bridgewater. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation.

After Bridgewater the team carries the Torch towards the Town of Esperance.

"We can't sell happiness, but fresh cut flowers come pretty close" :)

Mahasatsya making significant strides.

The more you run, the more you smile.

You can even stop your lawn mower to hold the Peace Torch :)

Some happy peace lovers on the way.

Fresh vegetables and eggs from a local farm. Dinner is in the making.

Welcome to the Town of Esperance.

Town Supervisor of Esperance Earl Van Wormer III welcomes the runners into the Town Hall.  He was deeply moved by the message of the Peace Run. He expressed the need for humanity to work in unity and solidarity, respecting each others' differences, believes and opinions.

We are extremely grateful for this visit to Esperance. Thank you Earl for sharing your life stories with us and providing refreshments so we can continue running. We continue with much joy and enthusiasm, grateful for the new friend we have met in Esperance.

In the evening we reach the City of Albany, NY. In the picture is Peace Run founder Sri Chinmoy with executive director Salil Wilson. In 1991 the City of Albany was dedicated as the world's first Sri Chinmoy Peace Capital. As per the Proclamation: "Peace Capital confidently steps out from the crowd and patiently waits for others to join it, knowing that one day all men and women will take that step and stand shoulder to shoulder in peace".
