Sarvodaya from Ukraine fuels the Peace Torch before his morning run. He joined us today in Vermont along with Homagni from Australia.

Salil and Jagadhata run on our second team through St. Albans.

This young man from Macedonia was thrilled to hold the torch and make a wish for peace.

Four nurses from St. Albans were happy to share the torch when they saw our runner going by.

One of our teams had some time to swim at this lake after their morning run.

Collette Wilson and two of the children from the Milton Family Center at the Milton School were there to greet us as we ran to their school.

We met the rest of the after school program kids indoors and offered our presentation to about 30 children and teachers.

The children participated in our song as they acted out the words while we sang.

The children had a chance to carry the torch afterwards.

These two friends were delighted to carry the torch together.

The MASK (Milton After School Kids) and teachers with our team after our group run.

The children at Milton Elementary after-school program called MASK(Milton After School Kids), offered us a colorful peace card.

Our last stop of the day was at the City Hall of Burlington, Vermont where we handed the Torch to Mayor Miro Weinberger. He kindly offered us a Proclamation declaring today Peace Run Day in the City of Burlington,VT.

The Mayor then ran with us a little ways to show his support and his athletic ability as we tried to keep pace with him.

Afterwards we met some very interested locals who kindly shared the torch with us and offered their goodwill.

These two 'children' were jumping for joy as we walked past on our way through this lovely downtown area of Burlington to get some ice cream at the famous Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream store.

We enjoyed some fresh ice cream at Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Shop in downtown Burlington where it originated in 1978.

Arpan feeds the cow in gratitude for contributing the milk to make this delicious ice cream possible.

A few blocks away we found a plaque installed at the site of the original Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Store. Ben and Jerry were local men who had the idea to make this specialized ice cream 37 years ago. Since then it has been widely distributed all over the world.
