Poreč - Pula - Premantura

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 17.0 km

Good morning!

After a good nights rest we went to the primary school in Poreč.

...a happy welcome...

...the principal received the torch and passed it on to the kids...

...photo shooting everywhere...

...a dynamic morning run....

...all dresses welcome...

Thank you Poreč for the happy welcome!

...time to say good bye...

...and we went to Pula, the main city on the peninsula of Istria.

...the primary school "Centar Pula" was scheduled next...

...we had lots of fun...

Thank you Pula for the enthusiasm and all the smiles!

...we went on a time-warp. Pula is an old city with many Roman traces...

...as the arena in Pula...

...built by Roman Emperor Augustus the arena fitted 23000 people! It was one of the 6 largest theatres in the Roman Empire.

...we approached the final destination of our Croatian Peace Run 2015: Premantura. Beautifully located at the southern cap of the Istrian peninsula, the whole area is a natural resort...

Premantura...

...the last steps before the well-deserved swim...

...Venice is all-present on Istria...

...curiosity kills the cat...

...once more we returned to Motovun for our last night in Croatia...

We were hosted by the Hotel Kaštel in Motovun. Thank you for the hospitality!

Good bye Croatia! We really enjoyed your beauty, hospitality and friendship. All our gratitude to the organisers, runners and people we met. See you again soon!
