Brandon - Winnipeg

Reported by Devendra Cheatham, Homagni Baptista 100.0 km

Leaving Brandon, Manitoba, on our way to Winnipeg.

Katey, Camp Director at Brandon Sportsplex Day Camp, happily accepts our certificate of appreciation. And we ARE truly grateful when anyone welcomes us to present the message of the Peace Run to any group, large or small.

Mayor of Brandon, Jeff Fawcett, was on hand to encourage the children.

Our next stop at Heartland Recreation Commission Day Camp was the smallest, a total of three children, but they sure had a huge supply of enthusiasm.

Mayoral candidate Nripatri Rupp showed up unexpectedly all the way from Vancouver.

Final event of the day was at the Day Camp at BDO Centre for the Community in Portage la Prairie. It was their "Let's Get Moving" Week. How appropriate.

Recreation Facilitator Emily Hurst does a great job providing healthy opportunities for the children. Thank you for inviting us during your program based on the values of the Global Citizens Movement.

Vasudha was today's honorary "hoser".

The last stop was no less important. Fueling up on joy at Sargent Sundae in Winnipeg.
