Ólafsvík - Arnarstapi

Reported by Gautami Sýkorová 21.0 km

The boy's team had quite an endeavour this morning to run from Olafsvik to the snowcap of Snaefellsjokull Galcier, many believe the glacier to be one of the seven main energy centres of the earth.

No joke!

Tomaz running up the steep hill in the heavy fog.

The higher we got the fog and clouds cleared up and we had a gorgeous view of the surrounding nature's beauty.

The glazier proves itself to be the powerfull energy center, Tomaz flying :).

The guy who clears the roads to get to the top of the glazier holding the torch.

Quite a job!

The Peace Run Team taking it easy and driving up the glazier on the snow mobile.

It was really lots of fun.

Almost there!

Huge thanks goes to Snjófell company that kindly offered us the ride up the glacier. You guys are awesome!

Kærar þakkir til ferðaþjónustunnar Snjófells sem kom okkur alla leið upp á topp!

Climbing few more steps up the steep snow peak.

Suren bravely on the lead.

Wohooo....made it to the top!

Apaguha, the amazing photograper, on the top of glacier.

Sliding down...

...was super fast...

...wet...

...and super fun!

Descending on the snowmobile.

Salil seems to be enjoying his run in the snow in the middle of the summer!

Suren, the great organizer of today's and many other events, running.

Truly, a spectacular and powerful place to be.

Salil meeting our Belgian friend, whom we met few days ago.

Salil is cooling off after his run in the snow.

This is the glazier in its full beauty.

This Kria bird looks very cute and innocent...

...just do not get too close to her nesting place.

A rock statue of a giant in Arnarstapi and silly us.

Amazing cliffs in Arnarstapi.

The cliffs were too tempting....

....so Simon and Natabara had to climb them.

A huge thanks and Certificate of Appreciation to restaurant Ruben in Grundarfjordur for providing our amazing lasagne dinner and to Pranava for the ice cream!

The perfect end to the perfect day! :)
