We are very happy and grateful that we were offered two very nice rooms for the men's team last night at the Holiday Inn Express in Helena.
We were on the road caryying the Peace Torch early today as we had a 90 mile day of running to cover.
The scenic hilss and pastures offered an inspiring landscape which energized us to run all of our miles.
The train lines out here in the wide open spaces also offered some entertainment as the engines would pull over 100 train cars at a time.
In the morning the teams that were not running yet were able to visit the Central-Linc School Montessori Camp in Helena.
Moni, our events coordinator herer in Montana, has scheduled some very nice meetings for us this week, including this wonderful school.
Our team made our presentation as usual with the children guessing our countries and finding them on the large map of the world.
The children always love to sing along with us with the actions to one of our songs composed by Sri Chinmoy, Founder of the Peace Run.
Finding peace and joy in the heart in silence is always a good way to start the day.
The children always get a chance to pass the Torch among themselves and think of peace or some other kic quality to pass along to others.
Tony Napoletano, one of the teachers here was also quite willing and happy to pass the Torch and offer his goodwill.
The final event is usually the most fun for the children as they run around the playground following and carrying the Peace Torch.

The local NBC affiliate came to cover the story and interview our Executive Director, Salil Wilson, who just flew into town last night. We are happy to have him out here with us on the road again as this is where his heart is. He is the 'main man' who helps make all of our experiences here possible, with 'a little help from his friends.'

Further down the road our morning running team met up with a group of high school runners and their coach, Brook Dolan.
They carried the Peace Torch with us for almost four miles into their town of Townsend, Montana.
Most of the run was along a trail going into town along the main highway.

All the runners and a chance to carry the Torch and did so happily and enthusiastically.
We finally made it into town where we had a small ceremony in front of the local county Courthouse.

After the exciting run into Townsend we had to keep running out of town towrda our accommodations in the wildreness. Salil and his team carry the Torch to our final destination.
