Urdacheta runs through the welcoming guard of honor and into the school.

Puan Hajah Thalasawati Binti Mohd Ajib, the Headmistress of SK IJ Convent Johor Bahru welcomed us and said in part, "I believe the World Harmony Run has only just begun to demonstrate its capacity to create a better world."

Pn Noorsyahida binti Ahmad Fuzi served as our MC for the event. You can see a video of our events in Johor Bahru in 2013 here.

Deputy Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association Tn. Hj. Rashid bin Hassan was also on hand to welcome us.

Mr. Shamsul Hamraaz Zaharuddin, Assistant of Chief Office in Johor Bahru Educational Board, looks on as Fairul holds the torch with some of the students.

Salil makes some new friends.

Representatives from the 5 different schools which participated.

Fairul, on the left, has organized the Peace Run three times since 2012 and we are very grateful for his remarkable contribution.

Many of the teachers were just as enthusiastic as the students.

We headed out for a 3 km run through the city street.

Some of our intrepid runners.

Salil with Alia who is an international champion Go kart driver and who hopes one day to be able to drive Formula 1. Good luck Alia!!!

Back at the school with students Ranjeeta and Aisha.

When we returned from the run we enjoyed the performances of the very talented students.

The SMK IJ Convent Johor Bahru Choir sang so beautifully.

Urdhacheta presented Sri Chinmoy's Jharna Kala paintings as well as certificates of appreciation to all the representatives of the neighboring schools.

We were honored to present Fairul with the Torch-Bearer award for his service in selflessly organizing the Peace Run in Johor Bahru for the last three years.

Many of the teachers gathered for a photograph.

Happy and enthusiastic teachers equals good educators.

There's always time for a selfie!!!

Thank you and see you next year!!!
