Sending the drone out for it's morning fly.

Dronen var sendt ud på en morgentur

The team started the day with an early morning ferry ride to the island of Sandoy. We were treated to a most beautiful view of the sunlit sky.

The ferry's here!

Færgen er her!

You never know what amospheric scene is around the next headland in the Faroe Islands.

The sun blessed us again today as we arrived at our 1st school!

The team is greeted by an enthusiastic group of students!

The view from the schoolyard was incredible!

Udsigten fra skolegården var utroligt smuk!

Taking a moment to feel peace within...

Running with the torch is always a thrill for the students - so much so it's hard for the team to keep up at times!

Time to get that passport stamped!

It was a wonderful visit to Skopunar Skúli!

We were also joined by students and teachers from Skálavíkar Skuli. It's a small school of 3 pupils from the south of the island and we were very happy they made the journey up to meet with us.

The team was now off to visit a second school - Sands Skuli.

I spy Peace....

Jeg tror jeg kan "se" fred ...

This is what happens when the teachers "help" the students in the "guess my country" game with the team members. A few push ups are in order!

Jwalanta is always happy to welcome the students to Europe, the continent he represents during the worldwide passport stamping activity!

Shyamala is assisting in counting up the correct amount of stamps!

I've just visited all the continents :-)

Jeg har besøgt alle kontinenterne :-)

All hands on the torch!

Alle hænder på fakkelen!

This painting is titled 'Imagine Peace Here and Now'. Given the peaceful beauty of Sandur this felt very easy to do!

Dette maleri hedder "Imagine Peace Here and Now".

Getting a better view of the goings on in the playground.

The team enjoys sitting down with the school staff for coffee and cake-we are always grateful for such generosity.

These children had been learning the Peace run song and sang it perfectly with us. Thank-you!!!

Palash and Laufey having an important discussion regarding peace and cake or maybe just a piece of cake.

The team enjoyed a quick trip to a most beautiful beach since the weather was absolutely stellar!

Laufey and Dhavala getting their feet wet...

And Suren takes it a bit further-swimming with the peace torch!

It's actually one of the few beaches on the Faroe islands and is why the Island is named 'Sandoy'. Given our luck with the glorious sunshine we were all making the most of our short time there!

The team had a beautiful run from the beach back to the ferry. With some sheep showing us the way ;)

Wet feet for the perfect shot?!

Våde tær for at tage det perfekte billede

The views were just incredible. We truly enjoyed this one as it was also a nice downhill finish to our run.

The skies had fully cleared for our trip back and it was picture postcard all around!

We enjoyed our ferry ride back!

Dejlig sejltur tilbage!

And continued with some more (uphill!!) running once we reached port.

We are so grateful to Hridananda and Pujari who often selflessly cook up amazing meals for a hungry team.

Another wonderful day closes for the Peace Run team's Faroese adventure.
