The children in Hvalvíkar skúli were happy to greet the Peace Run.

Børnene i Hvalvíkar skúli var glade for at få os på besøg

And after a short introduction of the Run...

...we passed to torch to everyone...

...fik alle lov til at holde fakkelen...

...ran round the small but cute school yard...

...de løb rundt i skolegården...

...stamped the peace passports...

...fik stemple i sit pas ...

...and then went quickly inside for the country guessing game.

Happiness in my heart I feel.

"Jeg kan mærke glæde i mit hjerte"

The children honored us by a beautiful song too.

Eleverne sang smukt en meget fin sang for os.

Thank you, you are lovely kids.

Tak alle sammen! I er nogle dejlige børn!

Not much time was wasted and we went on our way to Kaldbaks skúli.

Both the kids and us were happy to have the ceremony inside to get out of the wind and rain.

Sincere prayer for peace.

En bøn for fred.

What animal is representing America?

Hvilket dyr er det der repræsenterer Amerika?

This school not only had one, but 2 songs prepared for us.

Skolen havde ikke kun forberedt en, men to sange for os!

This picture we left behind for the children to remember our visit.

A big crowd of all ages waited for us in Skúlin við Løgmannabreyt.

Peace begins with me

Fred begynder ved mig.

Can we hold the torch together?

Kan vi holde fakkelen sammen?

Some of the kids from this school had gotten Peace Run T-shirts from us on Monday, when they joined us for the Peace-Blossoms ceremonies. They were proudly wearing them today.

The school picture was happily received by principal Høgni Joensen, who had organized everything.

Thanks for inviting us!

Hej Skúlin á Argjahamri. Tak fordi I tog imod os!

High fives.

High fives!

This is what happens when teachers reveal the answer to our countries.

"Colombia"

"Kolombia"

MC Papaha getting animated when picturing California

Passing the torch from student to student, from heart to heart.

Australia is over there!

Australien er derovre!

We got all the stamps.

Vi fik alle stemple!

The mug, picture and certificate we leave behind so that you remember us. We definitely carry your enthusiasm with us.

Our last school for today was the tiny Frískúlin í Havn.

Den sidste skole for i dag var Frískúlin í Havn.

The map was a great help when finding the countries of the runners.

Eleverne fik hjælp fra verdenskortet for at finde løbernes hjemlande.

Some students learned to play the World Harmony Run song on the guitar or ukulele just for our visit. We were impressed by their Peace Run song performance

and we joined in happily.

Vi sang glade sammen med dem.

"I feel peace and love inside my heart"

They wrote and painted peace pledges for us to take with us. We will hang them up at the city library in Tórshavn tomorrow and then take them with us to Iceland after the week is over.

Some of the children ran 10k the other day and will join us today for our final run of the day to Tórshavn. We are exited!

But first we pass the torch around outside.

Men først fik alle lov til at holde fakkelen.

And off we go

Og så tog vi afsted

Up the hill

Opad en bakke..

Through fog and rain

gennem regn og tåge

Wet and happy runners at our destination in Tórshavn. Thank you for the beautiful day!
