Brett Gimmond very kindly arranged last night's accommodation which was very much appreciated.
Some of our friends from Canberra couldn't wait to see us so they drove seven hours north.

It was great to see them all. Then they grabbed a torch and headed to Sydney to do some miles.
There wasn't much in the way of functions for us, given it was a Sunday.

The joys of the Peace Run mean that you never quite know what the day will bring, and today was one of those days. A small and enthusiastic group drove up to meet the team to what we anticipated would be some running along the New England Highway, but no! – the day unfolded in a whole other way.
With the complexity of Sydney bearing down upon the team in a few days, a new plan was formed and with one of the Peace Torches onboard we took off for Sydney to run from Coogee to Cronulla through streets, along cycle paths and running routes that were beautiful, scenic but sometimes not in a straight line!
Sarankhuu started us at Coogee, ascending quite a hill to then hand the Torch over to Prachar, who got the treat of an 8km run around the Sydney International Airport.
Our mini-team was made up of Ashadeep from Australia, Harashita from Japan, Sarankhuu from Mongolia, Prachar from Australia and Stacey from New Zealand.
Then the small girls team took over, Stacey starting with the descent into Brighton-Le-Sands, Harashita and Ashdeep getting the joy of a seaside run and then the team making it over the Captain Cook bridge. Then the Peace Torch was handed back over to the boys to run the final distance to the Cronulla ferry from where the team will catch the ferry into the Royal National Park in a few days.
We were super grateful to Meghan for hosting us at Muswellbrook Motor Inn. Very much appreciated.
