San Marino

Reported by Dipavajan Renner

Welcome to San Marino! Despite the rain we cheerfully started our climb up the rock on which the ancient city is built.

..one of the old fortresses appears in the clouds...

Today was school day in San Marino: our 1st school: "Il Nostro Mondo" - Fiorentino

...a drawing of all the historic castles of San Marino...

...and our first Peace Tree...

...the kids passed the torch...

...a tree-painting made of hand- and footprints by the kids...

...peace messages...

...all the schools in San Marino we visited were excellent singers...

...and a group picture ended the first school meeting!

...after a quick espresso we went on...

The second school: "La Roccia" - in Borgo Maggiore gave us a warm welcome!

...many smiling faces...

...and the kids love the stamps!

...a special gift: the world as a peace sphere....

...we went out in the garden and sent off balloons with peace messages...

...a final Run around the school yard....

Thanks for the friendship!

...our view into the country side from high above....

...some new team members we met along the road!

...and we reach school number 3: "Arcobaleno" - in Cailungo.

...peace messages...

...another gigantic banner, done by the kids....

...and more nice singing...

...the principal welcomed us with kind words....

....and actions for the World Harmony Run song...

...and one more peace tree. In a few years we will have planted a whole forrest in San Marino!

...and we went on to visit the children in their class rooms....

...we had enough time to answer countless questions by the kids...

...and the school treated us for a highly welcome lunch....

...a final group picture. Thank you for the hospitality!

After the lunch the school experience continued: "Scuolapiù" - in Domagnano was next.

...nice presentations...

KAgni, our Finnish runner received drawings by the kids...

...this was by far the largest peace tree of the day!

Thank you for the warm welcome!

"La Ginestra" - in Cà Ragni was our last school of the day. The greeting committee was awaiting us on the door step....

PEACE

...a final torch passing in San Marino...

...who will grow faster?

And the final school - picture! An amazing day came to an end....

Thank you San Marino for the most inspiring experience. We will carry your peace messages with us throughout the world!
