Today was the festival of Makar Sakranti was celebrated all over India. Makar Sankranti marks the transition of the sun into the zodiacal sign of Makara (Capricorn) on its celestial path. The day is also believed to mark the arrival of spring in India.

After a great night sleep we were served with more sweet and sour Indian delicacies prepared by our hosts.

Mena has a great experience of Indian hospitality from this Indian family.

Many thanks to our hosts who gave us a true taste of Indian hospitality at its best.

A non polluted way of sweeping the road.

Right before our departure from Belgaum, we visited a local School called Jain Heritage School.

The schools was also celebrating the Makar Sakranti festival.

The students offered us ball shaped sweets made out of sugar. The spirit of this festival is to spread love and receive love.

It was Atul's last day today day at the Peace Run India.

We came back to Goa via Old Goa.

We had some quick visit to some historic venues. This is called The Basilica of Bom Jesus and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier.
