It is a historical site valued in the community and the little brook running by the tents provided the runners with a long awaited swim.

In Kalenden we met Pastor Les Clark and presented him the Torch Bearer Award. He is doing a wonderful service in the community and also helps farmers in Mexico where he is building homes for farm worker families.

Don Diego came with his delightful songs for this occasion. He spoke of Canada, United States and Mexico as three amigos; three friends.

The gratitude expressed by the community members toward Pastor Les Clark for his work was really heartfelt.

We then stopped by the Peace Tree in Okanagan Falls where Janet Black showed us the artwork and messenges of local children on the theme of peace.
