At the bottom of the mountain we are greeted by Councillor Annwen Hughes, Chair of Gwynedd Council, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, and Vince Hughes who has met the Peace Run on its 3 previous visits to Snowdon.

Lord Elis-Thomas is a dear friend of the Peace Run. He welcomes the runners and tells us how Snowdon's summit has been an important meeting point for conciliation and inspiration throughout history.
