This is the only big school in the whole region that runs classes from Kindergarten to High School. We met many students who come to this school all the way from Namche and even further down the Namche Village walking one hour and more up the stony pathways.

This is 70 year old lady with her daughter behind, climbing all the way up the steep hill almost 3900m high searching for her lost Yak for 15 days..

Nipendre Pradhan is very happy to hold the Peace Torch. He lives in Namche and his daughter studies in Brihaspati School in Kathmandu where we had Peace Run Ceremony just a few days ago. His daughter had sent him the photos of the Ceremony. So he immediately recognised Peace Run Team and greeted us with a cheerful surprise.

We are very grateful to all the teachers of Shree Himalaya P S for their enthusiastic participation.

These porters carry 60 to 80 kgs of goods and supplies to their village and some we met were even 60 years old.
