After finishing the route of the Peace Run across Slovakia (which ran from 31 May to 3 June), part of the team returned back to Bratislava, where we started in May.

Po skončení trasy Mierového behu cez celé Slovensko (ktorá sa bežala od 31. mája do 3. júna) sa časť tímu vrátila naspäť do Bratislavy, odkiaľ sme aj v máji vyrážali.

This time we visited Bratislava - Nové Mesto Municipality district.
Tentokrát sme navštívili Mestskú časť Bratislava - Nové Mesto.

Although it is a race, we took it in this spirit: joy of movement, work for a good cause and continuation of spreading the idea of peace among us, as well as around the world.
Aj keď je to pretek, my sme to vzali v duchu: radosť z pohybu, zadosťučinenie pre dobrú vec a pokračovanie šírenia myšlienky mieru medzi nami, ako aj na celom svete.
Many other enthusiasts participated despite the less than favourable weather.
Veľa iných nadšencov sa zúčastnilo, aj to aj napriek menej priaznivému počasiu.
We started with a race for the youngest who showed us real commitment.
Začali sme s pretekmi najmenších, ktorí nám ukázali naozajstné nasadenie.

The runners kept a smile on their faces - and really confirmed the motto of the event, which is self-transcendence. Of course, our team could not miss running with the Peace Torch.
Bežcom zostával úsmev na tvári – a naozaj potvrdili motto akcie, ktorým je sebaprekonávanie. Samozrejme, nášmu tímu nemohla chýbať ani Pochodeň mieru.
At the end of the race we had a very nice obligation - to unveil the Peace Bench in cooperation with the Bratislava-Nové Mesto Municipality district and EKO-podnik, which prepared it perfectly and very professionally.
Po skončení preteku sme mali veľmi milú povinnosť – odhaliť Lavičku mieru v spolupráci s Mestskou časťou Bratislava-Nové Mesto a EKO-podnikom, ktorý nám to dokonale a veľmi profesionálne nachystal.
Among the participants was also the new director of the EKO-podnik Mgr. Gabriela Laluhová, whom we thank for her support in this project.

We briefly introduced our International Peace Run relay, founded by Sri Chinmoy, a peace philosopher, more than 35 years ago to bring people and countries together - and since then we have visited more than 150 countries with the idea that the world is one big family and that we all want to live in peace. We pass this torch to the people we meet so that they too may express their wishes for peace, without which life cannot have satisfaction and fulfilment.
V krátkosti sme predstavili našu medzinárodnú štafetu Mierového behu, ktorú založil Sri Chinmoy, mierový filozof, pred viac ako 35 rokmi s cieľom spájať ľudí a krajiny - a odvtedy sme navštívili viac ako 150 krajín s myšlienkou, že svet je jedna veľká rodina a že chceme všetci nažívať v mieri. Podávame túto pochodeň ľuďom, ktorých stretneme, aby aj oni vyjadrili svoje želania pre mier, bez ktorého sa nedá plnohodnotne žiť.

Na fotke je Ing. Pavol Troiak, vicestarosta Mestskej časti Bratislava - Nové Mesto, ktorému sme odovzdali Pochodeň mieru ako zástupcovi MČ.
In his speech, Ing. Troiak also expressed hope for peace in the world, because any war is unacceptable.
Ing. Troiak vo svojom príhovore vyjadril nádej pre mier na svete, pretože akákoľvek vojna je neakceptovateľná.
He also said a very inspiring thought, emphasizing the role of sport for us as individuals and for the world - "if politicians went jogging every day, they would come up with completely different and better ideas". We share this sentiment and congratulate all those who are leading by example.
Zároveň povedal veľmi inšpirujúcu myšlienku, zdôrazňujúcu úlohu športu pre nás ako jednotlivcov, ako aj pre svet – “keby si politici išli každý deň zabehať, prišli by na úplne iné a lepšie myšlienky”. K tomu sa prikláňame aj my a gratulujeme všetkým, ktorí idú v tomto príkladom.
We hope that this new Peace Bench will become a place where people will also be reminded of the importance of peace, which must not be taken for granted. And it is important to think not only about the outer peace (when there are no weapons), but also about the inner peace that manifests itself as peace of mind, good mood, joy of life, harmony with the environment and balance in every area.
Želáme si, aby sa táto nová Lavička mieru stala miestom, aj vďaka ktorému si ľudia pripomenú dôležitosť mieru, ktorý nesmieme brať sa samozrejmosť. A treba myslieť nielen na ten vonkajší (pokoj zbraní), ale aj na ten vnútorný mier, ktorý sa prejavuje ako pokoj na duši, dobrá nálada, radosť zo života, harmónia s okolím a rovnováha v každej oblasti.
We create peace in the world by our thoughts, actions and the vibrations we send out to our surroundings. That is why we asked all participants during the minute of silence to feel in their hearts all the joy and love that is there and to send this multiplied with their goodwill to everyone who needs it.
Mier na svete tvoríme našimi myšlienkami, činmi a vibráciami, ktoré vysielame do okolia. Preto sme poprosili všetkých zúčastnených, aby počas minúty ticha precítili vo svojom srdci všetku radosť a lásku, ktorá tam je a túto znásobenú so svojou dobrou vôľou poslali každému, kto ju potrebuje.
In the meantime, the race organizers finished processing the results and we proceeded to announce them.
Medzitým organizátori behu dokončili spracovanie výsledkov a pristúpili sme k ich vyhlasovaniu.
The spirit of sportsmanship and friendship was felt everywhere.
Športového a priateľského ducha bolo všade cítiť.
Among the announced winners in her category was also a member of our team, Galya from Ukraine.
Medzi vyhlásenými víťazkami vo svoje katogórií bola aj členka nášho tímu, Galya z Ukrajiny.
And at the end we still had time to go and enjoy the new Peace Bench one more time and read the whole text of the plaque thoroughly.
A na záver sme ešte mali čas si ešte raz ísť užiť novú Lavičku mieru a dôkladne prečítať celý text tabule.
