Our hosts and local coordinators Devaki and Vidura Groulx send us off in the morning. We are so so grateful to have such capable and self-giving people on our side. We are specially thankful to Abhijit for organizing all the events in Montreal; We are also very gratefull to Dhanvanti who cooked delicious food for the team, and thank you to Soniya for arranging the beautiful event at the Oratory. A very special thank you to Devaki who orchestrated everything for the succes of all the events. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the Peace Run visit a great success.
Nos hôtes et coordinateurs locaux, Devaki et Vidura Groulx étaient présents lors de notre départ au matin. Nous sommes tellement reconnaissant d’avoir bénéficier de l’aide de gens aussi capable et généreux. Nous voulons spécialement remercier Abhijit qui a organisé tous les événements à Montréal; Nous sommes également très reconnaissant à Dhanvanti pour avoir cuisiner la délicieuse nourriture pour toute l'Équipe, et merci à Soniya pour avoir fait les arrangements pour l'Oratoire St-Joseph. Un MERCI très très spécial à Devaki qui a orchestré le tout pour le succès des tous les événements. MERCI à tous les bénévoles qui ont permis à la visite de la Course de la Paix, d'être un grand succès.
Our first stop today was YMCA Cartierville , Boul. Laurentien.
Notre premier arrêt aujourd’hui a été au YMCA Cartierville , boulevard Laurentien .

Les enfants sont entre bonne main, avec un personnel aussi enthousiaste.
It's so nice to see the kids' creative side when they do artwork on the theme of peace.
C’est magnifique de voir le côté si imaginatif des enfants lorsqu’ils créent leurs œuvres sur le thème de la paix.
As we made our way west, we stopped at YMCA Pierrefonds Camp. They were a delightful group of kids and staff. What a treat it is to be able to go around meeting these kinds of people. We love it!
Plus dans l’ouest de la ville, nous avons fait un arrêt au YMCA, Camp de Jour de Pierrefond. Ce groupe incluant les enfants et les moniteurs étaient tout à fait charmant. Quel bonheur de rencontrer de telles personnes. Nous adorons!
And yes, we do these skits a lot, but the kids love them and so do we.
Et oui, nous faisons souvent ces sketchs, mais les enfants adorent ça et nous aussi.
But not as much as we love singing with the kids.
Mais pas autant que nous aimons chanter avec les enfants.
And finally we made it to Camp Kawabunga. There we found a small but enthusiastic group of kids and staff who welcomed the Peace Run.
Finalement, nous nous sommes rendu au Camp Kawabunga. Nous y avons rencontré un petit groupe d’enfants mais si enthousiaste et des moniteurs souriants nous ont accueilli.
The Peace Torch has to move on down the road.

We eventually arrived at our final stop for the night, the beautiful Cedar Shades Campground in Alfred, Ontario.
Nous sommes éventuellement arrivés à notre dernier arrêt de la journée; le merveilleux "Camp Cedar Shades" à Alfred, Ontario.
It is run by the lovely family of Josée, Sylvain, Zachary and Josh Péladeau.
Ce camp est géré par une charmante famille don’t Josée, Sylvain, Zachary et Josh Péladeau.
They even planted a Peace Tree! Josee chose a lovely Hydrangea, which blooms all summer long and changes color to let you know when the season is getting late.
Ils ont aussi planté un arbre de Paix. Josée a choisi un magnifique hortensia, qui fleuri tout l’été et change sa couleur pour aviser que la saison est tardive.
Josh couldn't be with us today, but here he is planting the tree earlier.

It was a no-brainer to offer them Torch-Bearer Award. They have created a community where people come season after season because they know that it is a place where they can feel peace, and because of the dedication and love that the Péladeau family puts into their work, visitors leave nourished and generally better for it.
C’était évident que nous devions leur offrir le prix d’honneur de Porteur du Flambeau de Paix. Ils ont créé une communauté où les gens reviennent, saisons après saisons, pour ressentir la Paix. Dû au dévouement et à l'ardeur que la famille Péladeau investit dans leur travail, les visiteurs repartent toujours rempli de cette Paix .

We (I) have been looking for an opportunity to try some famous Canadian poutine. I was assured that a campground canteen would be the ideal place to have that first poutine experience, and boy did that turn out to be true.
Nous avons chercher une opportunité pour essayer la fameuse Poutine Canadienne. J’étais assuré d’y trouver une cantine afin d’avoir ma première expérience de Poutine … et croyez-moi, ça s’est avéré vrai!
But after all the fun and games, there is always work to do. Keeping the team heading in the right direction takes a ton of work, and team captain Harita does and excellent and cheerful job.
Après les jeux amusants, il y a toujours du travail à finaliser. S’assurer que l’Equipe de coureurs prends toujours la bonne direction requiert beaucoup de travail, et la chef d’équipe Harita fait un excellent travail et toujours dans la bonne humeur!
Not to mention the work involved in feeding everyone. Runners get hungry, ya know.
Sans mentionner tout le travail requis pour nourrir tout le monde. Les coureurs ont faim ! Je le sais !!
And then to our greatest surprise, who shows up at sundown? Josh, the one missing during the Torch Bearer Award ceremony. Here he is with his friend Sabrina. The two of them seemed to really feel the heart of the Peace Run and offered their good wishes for a successful Run.
Et à notre grande surprise, qui se pointe au coucher du soleil? Josh, celui qui manquait durant la cérémonie de remise du Prix d’honneur du Porteur du Flambeau de Paix. Le voilà avec sa copine Sabrina. Tous les deux semblent vraiment ressentir le cœur de la Course de la Paix et offrent leurs bons vœux pour le succès de la Course!
