Chicago - Buchanan Michigan

Reported by Gianluca Marangon 40.0 mi

The day starts as usual....with running :) The Police kindly escort us out of Chicago as we make our way toward Hobart.

After running for 10 miles we pass the torch to our next team of runners.

We ran along some gorgeous trails and enjoyed nature's beauty.

We are always delighted when people hold the torch and express their whishes for peace.

Runners are smilers :)

On the way we also met some cyclists who were enthusiastic to hold the Peace Torch.

Suhasini gives the thumbs up. We are ready to hit the road again.

When we arrived in Hobart we were warmly welcomed by the First Unitarian Church of Hobart who invited many people to be part of the Peace Run as it passed through their town.

All generations were happy to sing and do the actions for the World Harmony Run song.

"I can lift it very high"! Everyone got the chance to hold the Peace Torch and express their wishes for peace.

A gift of appreciation from us :)

We were invited inside for some home food and chats. The members of the Unitarian Church shared what peace means to them and what situations remind them of it.

Suhasini made some new friends :)

Thank you members of the Unitarian Church for making this wonderful cloth. We will carry it with us as we continue our run through the US.

And now it's time to run...some join us for a short jog and help us carry the Peace Torch ahead.

Go Peace Run Go...

After a long day of running a dip in the water is always nice.

Tonight we are hosted by our dear friends at their Fuller's Resort & Campground on Clear Lake in Buchanan, Michigan; a most beautiful place. We were spoiled by their delicious cooking and generous hospitality :) Thank you for making us always feel at home. We loved to see you again.
