The Peace Run had another early start.

Meeting just after sunrise in Alofi North, with a keen group of runners to start the second day of the Peace Run relay around Niue.

With everyone getting out early to run with the Peace Torch.

Passing from person to person every few hundred metres.

As the day progressed more and more joined the Peace Run.

With each village coming out in force to feel the joy of Peace in their beautiful island nation.

Makefu Village running the Peace Torch through their area.

Tuapa village welcomed the Peace Torch in a most spectacular way, with a traditional welcome.

Two villages coming together to take a moment to share the joy before continuing.

With Tuapa now relaying the Peace Torch through their village, with some strong runners.

But still pausing to make sure all could hold the Peace Torch.

The Village of Namukuli then took the Peace Torch.

And passed from person to person.

With Tuapa runners having so much fun they joined the run through to the Namukulu

The crowd grew and grew as the running continued.

Soon the Peace Torch was passed from hand to hand to hand.

We had runners, walkers, cyclists, motorbikes and cars with us.

With the Hon Sonya Talagi joining the Peace Run as it run through her area.

Encouraging all to hold the Peace Torch.

All came to hold the Peace Torch.

Thanks team for running us all the way to Hikutavake, with some of the team needing to go to work and school we farewelled most here.

With some wonderful ladies from Toi taking the torch through their village.

Even getting one of the drivers from the lead car coming out to run with the Peace Torch.

Thank you Toi!

The wonderful Police who were with us each day.

Leading the way for the Peace Run around Niue

To finish the Peace Run team stopped for lunch and meet a grea group of locals who hadn't held the torch yet.

They showed us the way to another little gem of a location in Niue.

And helped us navigate our way over and under and through the caves and passes.

To another beautiful place of Niue.
