Cardiff - Bristol

Reported by Devashishu Torpy 15.0 km

Today we returned to Cardiff to meet the Lord Mayor.

Our Welsh runner, Abichal, meets the Lord Mayor who, as it turned out, was born in Bristol, England.

The Lord Mayor stands with the team infront of the World Harmony statue in Cardiff Bay.

In the nearby Norwegian Church the team presented themselves and explained the details and the purpose of this year's adventure.

To greet us in the Nowegian Church was the chaplain of the Bay area. He told us that Cardiff has always welcomed people from around the world. There is a saying in Cardiff, "Wherever you are on your life's journey, you are welcome".

The Lord Mayor presents us with a series of scrolls to carry to the other cities.

In Cardiff Bay ppeople happily hold the torch and make a prayer for Peace.

We briefly stop by 'Run And Become' - the best sports shop in Cardiff, for some much needed supplies.

Two of the team relax in the therapy waiting room in Run and Become.

In Bristol we completed our running at the Self Transcendence Relay race put on by Sri Chinmoy AC. This is the last race of their summer season in Bristol. A team of three runners each run a mile around Eastville Park.

The Peace Run Ladies team.

Everyone gathers around for the prize giving (everyone gets a prize).

Each team are announced and are invited to hold the torch.

Finally everyone poses for the last photograph.
