Scarborough - Hampton Beach

Reported by Sanaz Datubar, Victoria Aguila 68.0 mi

After a long day we always appreciate a comfortable and peaceful place to spend the night. The Fireside Inn in Portland, Maine has kindly provided that for our women's team. Our gratitude to the Fireside Inn and its team.

The Clarion Hotel has accommodated our men's team. With new energy we all started the day. Thank you Clarion Hotel.

Sweta from Nepal has joined our team for the final week of the run. She lead us with the torch to our first ceremony of the day... Happy to have you Sweta!!!

We visited our good friends at Camp Ketcha. The Peace Run has been stopping by for many years and it is always so lovely to see them offer their open hearts filled with oneness and innate understanding of what Peace is.

We were happy to see that many of the children remembered the World Harmony Run song!

We then connected with the peace in our own hearts. The children and staff alike tuned in most soulfully.

Liz from Camp Ketcha received our Certificate of Appreciation. Thank you for making all of these joyful meetings with the children possible.

As is tradition we later passed on the torch to everyone present. Our Peace Run torch continues to expand its capacity of containing and carrying with it all the sincere wishes of the peace dreamers we meet.

The peace train took off full speed at camp ketcha!

Harita was interviewed by a very thoughtful journalist. They discussed the commonalities of the Olympics and the Peace Run. People from all around the world gathering together to transcend themselves in the spirit of friendship.

We love you camp ketcha!

We received water bottles for us to take on the road and stay supremely hydrated.

Carrying the positive energy we continued our run towards Hampton beach.

The men's team picked up a hearty Italian lunch that was generously sponsored by Maria and Louise, our dearest friend Jojo's sisters.

Victoria and Sanaz running along with many encouraging and supportive people in cars and by foot cheering them on.

We bumped into a German couple from Freiburg. They so kindly offered us cold water and asked us about the run. They enthusiastically held the torch and added their own wishes for peace and harmony in the world.

Sweta continued to run cheerfully her portion of the miles for the day.

Soon after some of our team members went to a fun ceremony in "Water country" a lovely water park in New Hampshire. A few little ones with their families that had been swimming and enjoying themselves joined our team and shared a little moment of peace wishes and smiles.

The final miles of the day were completed along the beach.

The

Water consciousness always provides such healing and revitalizing energy to each one of us while we are on the run. Especially in such hot and humid days on mostly rough concrete roads. We bow to you, we bow with wholehearted gratitude when you nourish us, if even just by dipping our restless feet into your coolness for a little while.

Different flavors delight to keep us going!

Sweta was in maple walnut and chocolate heaven!

Ended the day with giving one of our Peace Run vans brand new shoes!
