Dresden - Herzberg

A big "Thank You" to the "NH Hoteles"...

A short visit to the Jewish Community Centre in Dresden before we started our running into a new day...

...and the "Hotel Am Terrassenufer" in Dresden for hosting our team!

...reaching Moritzburg...

Children of the primary school Moritzburg gave us a warm welcome...

...small talk with the kids...

Happy Birthday Emma!

...and a joyful run around the school yard ended the meeting...

Thank you Moritzburg!

Meißen was next.

The old historic city centre...

The mayor of Meißen received the torch...

...and joined for a few symbolic steps for peace.

...some kids watched on...

We arrived in the "Johannes primary school".

It was a funny event: while we did our presentation more and more kids joined in...

Thank you for the meeting!

...after a long, scenic run we arrived in Großenhain at the primary school day care centre.

The kids lined up in nice t-shirts and had balloons ready...

The mayor received us with kind words.....

...nice gifts!

...and the childen performed two songs for us. They sang much better than us!

Three, two, one, GO!

High Five on our way out. Thank you Großenhain for the enthusiastic welcome!

As we reached Elsterwerda, runners joined in...

...together we reached the city centre.

A group of spectators and children awaited us eagerly.

The mayor spoke very nicely...

...and the kids enjoyed the country guessing game...

...all together we ran towards the main square....

...while the kids passed the torch on from hand to hand...

...also the smallest participated...

Thank you Elsterwerda for the great meeting!

The local runners carried on another 10km...

Thank you Germany for the perfect Peace Run day!
