Runners from Mötesplats löparna
We begin a 23 km run through the forests...
This cycling path used to be a railroad used for transporting ore from the local mines...
Running along this exquisite lake the pace picks up the closer we get to Ludvika...
More runners wait for on this bridge...
After 20 km of running these steps are no joke!
Once up, it's though this tunnel...
Though the quaint city streets...
Though the scenic park...
And we're at the ceremony place! Phew! Victory poses presented by local sportsclub LFFI
Great run everybody!
Mayor of Ludvika, Maria Strömkvist, welcomes us whole-heartedly. She heartily urges the citizens of Ludvika to contemplate and live this message. This message carried by the torch, by so many runners, accross countless miles, the message that already resides within each one of our hearts Peace begins with ourselves. We can take the first step! She says: It is up to us now! Thses runners have run a long way, and it is now up to us to act on this message and live it! To be an example!
It was a really vibrant and heartening speech. Thank you!
These runners have created an inspiring running community, where they decide different places to meet and run twice a week. One day is an easy-going pace where everyone can join, and the other is interval training.
