Our last day in Sweden! What is more fitting than to pay a visit to the Swedish moose! We finished the running the day before, so it was time to have some fun!
The Gårdsjö Älgpark in Heby kindly invited our international team for a visit. Gårdsjö Älgpark is one of the few moose parks in Sweden where you can get a very close encounter with these shy animals...
...a first introduction...
...and we took a seat...
...right into the park...
..first contact...
..the moose are very gentle. They don't fear the visitors and come very close. You can even touch them!
...food does the trick...
...and a little kiss...
...notice the very aerodynamic nose. Moose are very fast: up to 60 km/h!!
The majestic Swedish moose!
...from the male moose we went on tho the little ones:
...even the babies have long legs, so they have to go on their knees to eat...
..almost there...
...Olivia, an orphan moose, needs special treatment: lots of milk and concern every day. Here she gets both from Leffe!
...it was our turn for a short presentation...
A big "Thank You" to the "Gårdsjö Älgpark" team! We really enjoyed our visit!
