We started our journey with a visit to McGill University where we have a Peace Tree growing nicely. Here we offered some moments of silence.

We started our run up the small mountain at a famous statue by the trail head
It was quite a beautiful and well groomed trail up the hill.
Along the way we met locals who were happy to share the torch with us, offering their goodwill and wishes for Peace.

We ran with the students across the street to the Oratory of St. Joseph.

The students were very enthusiastic and had lots of endurance as they led us up the long stairways to the Oratory.
Father Grou, the current head of the Oratory, kindly welcomed us as he holds the torch and blesses our team.
We gathered by the Carillon and listened to our Peace Run Song, composed by Sri Chinmoy, played quite beautifully by the talented carillon player.

The College students then joined us for a mini Peace Run around the grounds of the Oratory of St. Joseph.
After the mini Peace Run with these very enthusiastic young adults we had an inspiring talk with them at the cafeteria. They shared their ideas and inspirations with us about their involvement in trying to foster positive changes in the world through their own efforts and their work with the community and other social avenues.

It turned out to be quite a spiritually blessed day for us as carried the torch to so many special places in Montreal today.
