This morning we had to face a moment of sadness because three runners on the men's team left - Pujari, Scott and Josef. Thank you gentlemen for your most valued participation! We are looking forward to seeing you again on the run somewhere!
We started the day visiting three YMCA summer camps.
The South Health Campus was the first one. Kids realy enjoyed the songs.

And of course the skits.
Rob is a very enthusiastic camp director.
Everyone had a chance to make a wish for world peace.
Including the councillors!
Secondly we visited the Shawnessey YMCA camp.
And thirdly we visited Saddletowne YMCA.
Sanaz is doing a great job at explaining what peace means even to the youngest ones.
Again our song was a hit.
Staff members were just great and some came from the same country as our runners. They even took a run around while the kids were cheering.
And then the running part of the day started on the roads of Alberta.
After the rockies running on a flat road felt very easy.
This is typical geology in Alberta's badlands.
Running towards the East we were closely followed by thunderstorm.
So we had to increase the pace.
But that did not prevent us from meeting a lot of people on the way.
After more than two months on the Peace Run Puroga remains indefatigable.
On our arrival at Drumheller the mayor Terry Yemen joined us on a visit to the local summer camp.
Our new team member Suzana got to introduce herself.
Pierre and Puroga are getting very good at performing skits.
And the kids loved it.
The Mayor read a peace proclamation.
Pierre was defeated at tic tac toe more than once...
We all came outside when it stopped raining to plant a peace tree in the very heart of the town. Terry is a real hands-on mayor!
Soon a plaque on a concrete base will be installed at this tree which is in prominent location in town.
Some local journalist and family members of our candian runners were there. What an exciting moment!
Drumheller is world famous for its dinosaur museum. Many precious fosils were found in this area. So the team spent the rest of the day learning about the Earth's mysterious past.
Yatkara found a unique perspective on Drumheller.
No need to panic - Pavaka survived this encounter.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum
Believe it or not this young man from Drumheller saw the map on our van and came to tell us that he was preparing for a 80km trail running in the mountains. Canadians are fit.
We finished the day at 11 Bridges Campground in Rosedale. Lory the owner was thrilled to hear about our journey through North America. Many thanks for your generous participation in the Peace Run by offering us campsites.
At the campground we even met people who had seen us running on the roads of Alberta while they were driving.
