Our last day in Moldova was about to start in Ștefan Vodă...

...school time...

...what better way than to start a school day like this....

Thank you Ștefan Vodă for hosting the Peace Run!

..the students joined us for a few km...

...back on the country side...

...and we reached Popeasca and Ermoclia, two neighboring villages. local runners from both places awaited us eagerly...

...our "joint venture" went on its way...

...we reached the school...

...we reached Căușeni...

...a city tour....

...we arrived at the local high school....

...a quick presentation...

...after the presentation we attended an excellent concert....

...in Zaim the local school gave us a warm welcome...

In Mihailovca we were greeted by local runners...

...the runners carried the original torch from the Moscow Olympics 1980 with them. Needless to say we exchanged torches for a few steps...

...once more a traditional welcome with bread and salt...

Finally we reached Cimișlia, our last meeting in Moldova. Local athletes awaited our team...

...we finished at the feet of the king...

It was time for our runners to say good bye to Moldova and to our organisers. We deeply treasure your friendship, your smiles and your sincere efforts for peace and harmony! All our gratitude to this amazing country and its outstanding people!
