It was a crisp, beautiful morning, and the girls' team headed south on Route 1.
Our first stop was Armistead Elementary School in Baltimore.
Students enthusiastically guessed which countries or states we are from, and showed us where they are on the map!
Final match between Russia and Japan...Peacefully?
No...!
These girls are then showing us a better way to run a race.
It's now the teachers' turn to run with the Peace Torch!

Everybody has a chance to hold the torch with their good wishes and prayers for peace.
Cameron E. Miles, an extremely inspiring and inspired Director of NGO: Mentoring Male Teens in the Hood, has spent the last 21 years helping young boys reach their highest potentials in the often challenging living circumstances. He very kindly and enthusiastically organized the two school visits for us in Baltimore and escorted us through the visits. Cameron encourages children and teens with uplifting and affirming phrases, one of which goes “Teamwork makes dreamwork.”
Our second stop was at Matthew A. Henson Elementary School, also in Baltimore. Principal Travis Miller (left) with our coordinator Cameron by the school motto: "All in for ALL students!"
