Falkirk - Glasgow

Reported by Adarsha Kelly 40.0 km

Our first meeting brought us to the "Wallacestone primary school" in Falkirk.

Our team invaded the playground...

All the children were assambled in the hall.

...Peace can be felt in the heart...

...different moods...

...High Five on the way out...

..and all the kids touched the torch...

...the meeting continued on the schoolyard...

Thank you Falkirk for the heartfelt welcome!

...we met people along the road...

...and had a striking lunch in front of thr city hall in Glasgow.

The deputy mayor of Glasgow, Councillor Gerry Leonard, received the international team at the entrance to Glasgow City Chambers.

Cllr Leonard is seen here receiving the letter of support for the Peace Run from the President of the European Union Mr. Hermann Von Rompuy

The deputy mayor shook hands with all our team members...

Thank you for the welcome!

A big Thank You to the "Tollcross International Swimming Centre" for the hospitality!

In the afternoon we met children from the Chinese Children's Playgroup at Woodside Halls.

...a short presentation...

...and a cheerful run!

Thank you for the nice meeting!

We spent the evening with a special friend: Brother Stephen Smyth.

Brother Stephen has just retired after many years of public service first as a teacher and latterly working in the ecumenical movement in Scotland.

Brother Stephen has helped Adarsha set up the Oneness-Dream tour in Scotland in September and has been inspired to accompany the choir on the whole tour!!
