Along the Firth of Forth to the Forth Road Bridge which will take us north to North Queensferry
This is the Forth Bridge - an extraordinary feat of engineering. It is considered an iconic structure and symbol of Scotland and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was designed by the English engineers Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker and construction began in 1882. Sri Chinmoy dedicated the bridge as a Peace Bridge in 1996.

Just before we reach Milngavie we meet Caroline outside Solid Rock Cycle shop in Torrance
Fiona Crosby meets us on the road to herald us into Milngavie. Fiona came across the Peace Run two years ago in Germany and was inspired to invite us to her hometown in the north of Glasgow.
A piper is playing as we arrive in Milngavie.
He is 79 years old and has been playing bagpipes since he was eight. He still teaches and is the founder of the two pipe bands in the local area.
The people of Milngavie give us a heartfelt welcome.
