Good morning Austria! We woke in our accommodation and were quite surprised by the white coat that covered the country!

...all the blossoming trees got over night a heavy load of fresh snow...

...last preparations...

...we arrived in the primary school "Feldkirch Tisis". The children gave us a warm welcome...

...we really enjoyed our first meeting of the day - many to follow...

...big smiles...

...once around the school...

...our today's goal - the "Arlberg" - was already visible...

...arriving at our next meeting: the primary school "Frastanz-Fellengatter"...

...the kids were incredible cheerful...

...a final Run...

...the kids were hard to stop!

...we went on, deeper into the valley...

..and we arrived at the third meetinf place: the primary school "Nenzing - Halden".

... the school is located up on a little mountain in a very serene area. The kids greeted us in front of the school...

Peace can be felt in the heart!

..taking a wish for peace...

...somehow a snowball fight started...

...Dima was waiting for the bus to Kaliningrad...

...back in Frastanz we met young athletes from the "Neue Mittelschule Satteins"...

...the kids set up a relay run all the way to their school...

...almost there...

...we went on to Nenzing, were the primary school ligned up with full decoration!

...the choir...

...we lit a peace candle with our torch...

..Amalendu, our Australian runner, showed the kids the difference between Austria and Australia...

...a stampede down the street...

...we arrived in Nüziders.

Students of the "Neue Mittelschule Nüziders" gave us an enthusiastic welcome!

..what to do after the group picture?

...running, of course! The kids joined us for 3 km, running all the way to the next school!

...we arrived at the "BG Bludenz"...

...Nüziders passed the torch on to Bludenz!

Thank you all for the fun!

...some students from Bludenz carried on. The girls enjoyed their Monday afternoon workout...

...they even ran further than planned...

...several short meetings along the road...

...now the uphill running got serious...

...we were about to approach the "Arlberg"...

...deep snow...

...hard to believe that Spring already started...

...running in the snow was real fun!

..finally we made it - the "Arlbergpass" - 1.800m altitude!

...downhill is so much easier...

...as we arrived in St. Anton/Arlberg, a group of young local athletes welcomed our team!

We arrived at the city hall. The mayor greeted us with kind words...

...the most famous citizen of St. Anton: Karl Schranz, an Austrian skiing legend, received the torch!
