At the hotel we ran into some very nice tourists who kindly shared the torch with us to add their hopes and dreams for peace.
The men's team was kindly hosted by the Holiday Inn just across the street in Portsmouth.
We are so grateful for the chance to stay in such a nice hotel.
On our morning run we met many great people along the way who offered kind words and shared the torch with our runners.
For a while we were still close to the Atlantic Ocean and met some great people there as well.
A bright sunny day and a fresh ocean breeze was a great way to start the day.
We all met for a run into our first destination of the day in Newburyport, Massachussets.

We started our presentation in the shade as the sun grew hotter by the minute.
The children were very good at guessing our countries and at finding peace in their own hearts.

We enjoyed the peaceful view of a lake nearby.
It was back on the road again to our next destination.

We had the honor of passing the torch and offering our Torch Bearer Award to Dr. Martha Herbert, a well know doctor and researcher at the Sancta Maria Hospital in Cambridge.
Begabhati, one of our local coordinators and good friend who is a homeopathic doctor, introduces Dr. Herbert and tells us about her important work with autistic children.
Dr. Herbert and research associate Linda accept some of our gifts for their wonderful and important medical work.
We are grateful to both of them for their tireless and valuable work and to Begabhati for arranging such an inspiring meeting.

Becca Pizzi from this town of Belmont competed in the World Marathon Challenge this past January.
We offered her our Torch Bearer Award for completing 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. She won all of them for the womens race!
