Strilki - Ubla

Reported by Ukrainian Runners 115.0 km

The clouds started to clear off in the morning.

And the sun came out :-)

At the beginning of Turka we met this very nice man, who decided to ran with us through the town.

The mayor met us again after a few years. Back than he received the Torch bearer award and he took it with him today.

We were invited to this house after the ceremony.

We played a table tennis with the owners...

and they also prepared a nice refreshment. Many thanks

We felt here today a real Ukrainian hospitality

Good bye Turka

At the next region we were surprised by a patrol control

Entering our last region of Ukraine - Zakarpatska region.

Traditional welcome

It is also an entrance of the Uzhanskij national park.

It is a border point with Poland. There was a big battle here in WW I

The nature here is very beautiful.

You can find here one of a few original wooden churches, that is the Unesco world heritage.

Thank you for a great lunch in the school.

Students from the school ran with us even on Sunday !

Here we come to the border of Slovakia. Time to say good bye.

Many thanks to all the Ukrainian runners and Yevgeniy- the main organizer (on the left).

Last picture with the border police.

We also helped some car to go over the border :-)
