Morning shows the day! The team emerged fresh and well rested after staying at The North Lake Samish Inn for the night. A big thank you to Stota for organizing our fabulous accommodation! The North Lake Samish Inn very kindly offered us a discount on AirB&B! Thank you to Erica, the owner, and Loni, the manager, for their generosity.

Meanwhile, other members of the team stayed at Fairhaven Haven via AirBnB. Ross and Sharon Grier, the owners of Fairhaven Haven, let the Peace Run team spend the night free of charge! We are so grateful to Ross and Sharon for their generosity!

The boys team prepares lunches for the day.

Stota and Harita from the team show maximum efficiency in getting a car window fixed!

Our first event of the day was held at the Boys and Girls Club of Skagit County.

The Peace Run team and the Boys and Girls Club act out the 'World Harmony Run' song together!

Everyone holds the torch and offers a prayer for peace.

Our friend Hassatou holds the torch!

We then offered the Boys and Girls Club a Certificate of Appreciation, and a special Jharna Khala painting by Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Run, about peace. A big thank you to Shane Collins, the Club Director, for spending some time with the Peace Run!

We all ran with the torch!

Bishwas and Saranku recently joined the team!

Bishwas dropped by to celebrate his birthday on the Peace Run.

Saranku the Great, hails all the way from Mongolia.

Anastasiya Lezhnina joins us on the Peace Run today, all the way from Ukraine! We are very happy to welcome her.

Putu Ekawati joins us all the way from Bali, Indonesia.

Don Smith, a Park Ranger, greeted us with an ice cold drink of grape juice and Emergen-C!  He even followed us to a few of our running checkpoints to make sure we were hydrated and safe!  Shirlee Donovan, his wife, also stopped by to offer her goodwill!

Pujari from San Diego happily runs with the Peace Torch!

What is Pujari pointing at?

Well-wishers hold the torch along the way!

The Peace Wizard, Mr. John Bromet is 78 years young!  He looks incredibly fit, youthful, and serene, and Boijayanti had the great fortune of meeting him during our run.  He serenaded us with a very profound and soulful song about peace, and even offered to buy us an ice cream at Cascadian Farms!  We are grateful to Peace Wizard for his kindness and inspiration, and hope to see him again sometime in the future, spreading the message of peace and love in his own unique way.

On the beautiful, winding roads from Withrop to Mazama, the boys take a moment to enjoy the snow-capped peaks.

This was Putu's first time ever seeing snow!

Daulot Fountain, from Seattle, joined the team for a few days, and coordinated many of the local events!

The team concludes a long day of running at Patterson Lake, where the views were spectacularly peaceful and lovely. We spotted turtles, beavers, osprey, and other adorable wildlife near the lake! Here we are enjoying dinner after a long day.

We look forward to being able to spend two nights in these beautiful cabins!

More news to come as we continue to cross through the beautiful state of Washington!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
