Maribor

Reported by Devashishu Torpy 2.0 km

Our morning in Maribor starts with some warm up exercises at the Poljane Stadium.

Tomas is our instructor.

Athletics teams join us at the Stadium.

Running through Maribor.

We arrive at Magdalenski Park where there is a statue of Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Peace Run.

Mr Rudolf Moge, a former Minister in the Slovenian Government and a dear friend to Sri Chinmoy, receives the torch.

He speaks eloquently about the value of Peace in our world.

The Mayor of Maribor holds the torch and wishes the team the best for their journey ahead.

Mr Moge used to be a Maths teacher. Here he talks to Puruvaj, also a Maths teacher, about the connection between Peace and Mathematics.

Our visit to Maribor has been supported by the SEWA Madal Bal shop.

Thank you to the House of Bread for their support.

We stop outside this famous Theatre, dedicated as a Peace Theatre.

Thank you to Loving Hut for their delicious food.

Nice hats!

Thank you to the INTERSPAR restaurant for offering us an excellent buffet lunch.
