Wexford - Thomastown

Kids created artworks to welcome Peace Run.

On a lovely Sunny Sunday morning we visit the Irish National Heritage Park to meet the participants of the Junior Park Run.

The Mayor of Wexford Maura Bell warmly welcomes the Peace Run Team.

Emma, the Junior Park organisor, is delighted to have the Peace Run attend todays run.

We teach the children the Harmony Run song actions and it helps them warm up for their race.

And the Junior Park runners are off on a 2km race!

Cheers all round as they come round on their first lap.

Then it is time to do our own running!

Robert picks up the pace towards Kilkenny

Always great to meet well wishers on the way.

We are kindly treated to lovely teas and coffees at Woodstock Arms by Richard O Keefe in Inistioge.

We are delighted to meet Tony Nobel there who is the chairperson of tidy towns association in Ireland.

A beautiful location for lunch!

Jumping for Joy

The international team members are intrigued to see a game of hurling, a national sport of Ireland!

We meet some friendly bikers on the road.

The route is beautiful towards Thomastown.

In Thomastown we warmly recieved by renowned author Lorna Byrne. Lorna is a very special individual and has worked tirelessly in her own life to spread the message of love and peace in the world.

Many locals from the area have come for the event.

Lorna is presented a beautiful artwork by Sri Chinmoy entitled by 'Serve Humanity'.

The girls sang some lovely Peace songs while the torch was passed around.

Trish did some lovely face painting for the event.

Lorna took us for a walk through the beautiful grounds of the estate.

After the event we are treated to a delicious meal. We are so grateful to have been offer very cozy accomodation by Lorna and her team of helpers.
