Ljubljana - Koper

Reported by Dipavajan Renner

Welcome to Slovenia! The small country with the big heart gave us a very warm welcome!

Our international team launched the Run in Ljubljana and went straight for the Adriatic coast.

The school in Vrhnika was first: as we arrived all the kids lined up for "High Five"...

...and another line: this time for the passing of the torch...

...the mayor also joined the line...

...all the children ran once around the school!

...a perfect meeting: lots of smiles and nice refreshments...

Thank you Vrhnika for the great time!

...some kids joined us on our way out of the community and we went on...

...we arrived in Logatec.

The mayor, a local brass band and many children gave us a hearty welcome on the sportfield...

...traditional and modern performances...

...peace can be felt in the heart....

...by each individual....

Thank you Logatec for the nice meeting!

In the early afternoon we arrived in Postojna. Postojna is famous for it's enormous cave (which we explored already on earlier Runs...).

...we arrived at the city hall, where the mayor awaited us..

...we received nice gifts - medals from the city of Postojna...

After the group picture we were invited for a excellent lunch. Thank you Postojna for the hospitality!

...after many hilly km's we reached the coast....

Koper greeted us with a rainbow...

The sun set over the Adriatic Sea and a most inspiring day came to an end....
