At the Boys and Girls Club in Kingston, Washington, we were greeted by the security guard there who was excited to hold the torch with us.

We are grateful to Karen Jones, Unit Director of the Club, for organizing this event with our good friend and local coordinator, Jagadambika.

Nice smiles are encouraging when the children offer their hopes and wishes as we pass the torch around.

Deputy Mayor Cheri Kidd kindly offered a Proclamation to the Peace Run from Port Angeles as she graciously spoke of the important friendship between Canada and the U.S.

We then received a very soulful and sincere blessing from a local Lutheran Minister who expressed his understanding of our mission and how important it is to share peace worldwide.

Our last run of the day was a two mile uphill climb to the local Boys and Girls Club in Port Angeles.

The children at the Boys and Girls Club were quite enthusiastic and responsive to our program outdoors in the playground.

Receiving our offerings of gratitude for inviting us there to share the joy of peace and friendship.

The mini peace run after the ceremony is usually the favorite activity for the children and counselors alike.
