We were welcomed to a very intimate sitting in their common room. This was definitely our sweetest ceremony in Spain so far.

We introduced our countries and treated the kids to a traditional song or dance.

And then it was time to hit the road! Spain really blessed us with sun today, and you could see from the dry nature in some places that there is no dearth of the golden orb in these parts.
Y ahora llega el tiempo de recorrer camino! De verdad que Espana nos cubrió de sol ese día y como se puede apreciar en las fotos a través de la naturaleza seca de algunos lugares, en estos lugares existe escasez de poblaciones.

Our organizers wisely directed our running to quieter roads, on which it was easy to connect to the peace and silence of nature.

There is so much beauty in these parts, both in the nature and in the tranquil villages that we pass.

This is the sign of the Camino de Santiago, the Pilgrim's road on which many people travel each year. Our route took us along the Camino, which is fitting, as we are also on a pilgrimage of sorts.
El símbolo del Camino de Santiago, la ruta en la que los peregrinos viajan todos los años. Nuestra ruta transcurrió por El Camino, lo cual tambien va con nosotros, za que somos una forma de peregrinos.

It was hot today, but, at the same time, such an enjoyable day to run.

Towards the end of the day we met José, an inspired local who is organizing the retreat Open Hands, dedicated to peace and harmony, next weekend. It is inspiring for us to meet people like him, who are trying to make the world a better place. He, in turn, was so inspired to see the Torch that he turned his car around, just to meet with us.
Hac'ia el final del día, nos encontramos con José, un lugareño que organiza el festival Open Hands que tendr'a lugar el próximo fín de semana, dedicado a la Paz y Armonía. Que alentador para nosotros, encontrarnos gente como el que intentan hacer del mundo un lugar mejor! Y al revés, él al vernos corriendo con la antorcha, dío la vuelta a su coche solamente para poder saludarnos.
José had previously spent quite a while in the Mahatma Gandhi ashram in India, and gave us this heart made by women in the ashram.
